Product Description

New ARRO Level 3 Equestrian Body Protector – Coming Late 2026

ARRO is currently developing our latest Level 3 Equestrian Body Protector, with release planned for late 2026.

Designed by riders, for riders, our new body protector uses advanced impact-absorbing foam to provide a high level of protection while remaining comfortable, flexible and easy to ride in.

Traditional Level 3 body protectors can often feel bulky, rigid and hot. Our focus has been to create something very different — a modern body protector that provides Level 3 protection without unnecessarily restricting the rider.

Key Features

  • EN 13158 Level 3 equestrian body protection
  • Advanced impact-absorbing foam construction
  • Designed for excellent flexibility and freedom of movement
  • Lightweight and comfortable fit
  • Improved ventilation compared with traditional rigid body protectors
  • Designed to follow the shape and movement of the rider
  • Suitable for training, everyday riding and equestrian disciplines requiring Level 3 protection
  • Modern, low-profile unique ARRO design
  • Designed to work with compatible ARRO equestrian air vests

Development and testing are currently underway.  We already have samples made.

Final specifications, certification, sizing, colors, pricing and availability will be confirmed closer to launch.

Why Level 3?

Like our helmets, our approach at ARRO is simple: where different recognized levels of protection are available, we aim for the highest applicable level rather than simply meeting the minimum requirement.

That is why our new body protector has been designed for EN 13158:2018 Level 3 certification – the highest protection level within the EN 13158 standard.

EN 13158:2018 – Protection Levels Explained

Level 1 – Lowest level of protection
Designed primarily for licensed jockeys where reduced weight is an important consideration.

Level 2 – Intermediate protection
Provides a higher level of protection than Level 1 and is intended for lower-risk equestrian activities. This level is also used in certain racing disciplines, including National Hunt/hurdle racing in the UK.

Level 3 – Highest level of protection
The highest protection level under EN 13158:2018, designed for higher-risk equestrian activities including general riding, Pony Club and eventing.

ARRO – Designed for Level 3

The new ARRO Body Protector is being independently tested and certified to EN 13158:2018 Level 3 – the highest protection level within the EN 13158 standard.

Level 3 body protectors must meet more demanding impact-performance requirements than Levels 1 and 2, providing a higher level of impact-energy absorption.

EN Level 3 vs ASTM

ASTM F1937 is a separate US body-protector standard with different test methods and performance requirements.

Many ASTM-only body protectors are thinner and lighter and would not meet the more demanding impact requirements of EN 13158 Level 3. ASTM certification alone should therefore not be considered equivalent to EN Level 3 certification.

Some body protectors may be certified to both standards. However, unless a body protector has actually been tested and certified to EN 13158:2018 Level 3, it should not be considered EN Level 3 certified.

For riders seeking the highest protection level available under EN 13158:2018, look for Level 3 certification.
