ARRO Equestrian Air Vest Limited Warranty
United States
This Limited Warranty is provided by ARRO Helmets LLC (“ARRO”) for new ARRO AAir1 Equestrian Air Vests and genuine ARRO CO₂ canisters purchased in the United States from ARRO or an authorized ARRO retailer.
This warranty supplements your rights under applicable United States federal and state law. It does not replace or reduce any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1. Two-year coverage
For two (2) years from the original retail purchase date, ARRO covers defects in materials and workmanship in:
-
The airbag system: the airbag bladder, trigger and gas-release mechanism, and mechanical activation components supplied with the vest, including the lanyard and saddle strap.
-
Genuine ARRO CO₂ canisters: including canisters correctly installed in accordance with the User Manual.
The outer fabric and textile shell are excluded from this limited warranty, except where a manufacturing defect prevents secure fastening or interferes with the vest’s intended operation. Such defects are covered for the same two-year period.
Normal wear and cosmetic changes—including fading, pilling, scuffs, stretching and snags—are not covered. These exclusions do not affect applicable statutory rights concerning defective goods.
CO₂ canisters are single-use consumables. Ordinary consumption of gas during activation is not a manufacturing defect. Correct installation or activation does not, by itself, remove coverage for an otherwise covered manufacturing defect.
2. What ARRO will do
If a covered defect becomes apparent during the warranty period and is confirmed following assessment, ARRO will, at its option:
-
Repair the affected product.
-
Replace it with the same or an equivalent model.
-
Refund the purchase price paid for the affected product.
Where applicable law gives you a choice of remedy or requires a particular remedy, that right takes priority.
For covered claims, ARRO will pay the necessary assessment, parts and labor costs, together with reasonable shipping costs to and from the service facility. Contact ARRO before shipping so suitable arrangements can be made.
Repairs or replacements will be provided within a reasonable time. They remain covered for the balance of the original warranty period, subject to any extension, renewal or additional protection required by applicable law.
3. What is not covered
This limited warranty does not cover normal wear, cosmetic deterioration, subjective preferences concerning appearance or comfort, or the ordinary replacement of consumed or worn components.
It also excludes defects or damage to the extent caused by:
-
External damage from falls, impacts, crushing, horse rolls, punctures or similar events.
-
Incorrect fitting, connection, installation or resetting.
-
Use outside the rider, horse, sizing or activity limits stated in the User Manual.
-
Failure to inspect, maintain or care for the equipment as instructed.
-
Incorrect cleaning, storage or transport, including exposure outside the temperature limits stated in the User Manual.
-
Alterations, improper repairs or servicing.
-
Incorrect or incompatible cartridges, straps, lanyards or other components.
An exclusion applies to the affected defect or damage. It does not automatically cancel coverage for unrelated manufacturing defects.
Use of a third-party part or service does not, by itself, void this warranty. ARRO does not warrant third-party components and may exclude defects or damage it demonstrates were caused by those components or services.
Accidental activation resulting from normal operation of the mechanism—for example, dismounting without disconnecting the lanyard—is not itself a manufacturing defect.
4. Operation and protection
Horse riding involves a risk of serious injury, paralysis or death. The ARRO air vest provides limited, supplemental protection. No air vest can prevent every injury or make riding risk-free.
Mechanical activation requires the conditions described in the User Manual, including sufficient rider–saddle separation and activation force. These conditions may not occur in every fall, and inflation may not be complete before impact.
The absence of activation, incomplete inflation or an injury does not, by itself, establish a manufacturing defect. However, a failure caused by a covered manufacturing defect remains eligible for assessment under this warranty.
Certification assesses specified requirements. It does not guarantee protection in every incident.
5. Inspection and care
Read and follow the User Manual, including its requirements for fitting, compatible components, cartridge installation, inspection, resetting, maintenance and storage.
Inspect the vest and its components before each ride.
After any fall or deployment, stop using the vest until it has been inspected as instructed in the User Manual. Replace the vest if it has been crushed or if its airbags or seams are damaged.
Never reuse a fired canister. Installing a new canister does not make a damaged vest safe to use. If you are uncertain about the equipment’s condition or operation, contact ARRO before riding.
6. How to make a claim
Email support@arrohelmets.com promptly after discovering the issue and provide:
-
Your order number, receipt or other reasonable evidence identifying the purchase date and seller.
-
The model and any available serial or batch number.
-
A description of the issue and when it appeared.
-
Available photographs of the affected components.
-
Your contact details and shipping address.
If you cannot locate your receipt, contact us to discuss other evidence of purchase.
ARRO may need to inspect the product to assess the claim. Contact us before sending anything so we can provide the correct return address and shipping instructions. Returns are coordinated through our North Carolina returns facility.
Do not send CO₂ canisters without suitable shipping instructions from ARRO.
If a claim is outside this warranty, we will explain why. Any proposed paid assessment, repair or other charge will be disclosed and agreed with you before it is incurred.
Original packaging and attached sales tags are not required for a warranty claim. This process does not prevent you from exercising applicable statutory rights.
7. Returns and changes of mind
For purchases made directly from ARRO, our voluntary returns policy allows you to request a return within 30 days of delivery for an unused vest with its original tags attached, subject to the Returns Policy.
Purchases from retailers are subject to their applicable voluntary returns policies.
These conditions concern voluntary changes of mind. They do not restrict warranty claims or statutory remedies for faulty goods.
8. Legal rights and limitations
This is a limited warranty. The remedies described above set out ARRO’s obligations under this warranty, subject to applicable law.
This warranty does not disclaim applicable implied warranties.
To the extent permitted by law, ARRO excludes liability under this limited warranty for incidental or consequential economic losses. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion may not apply to you.
This provision does not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
